Public Works Department

Service may be disconnected or shut off, at the discretion of the Town of Bethel Utilities Department for any one of the following reasons:

• Use of water for purposes other than described in the application.
• Misrepresentation of facts in the application.
• Flagrant waste of water (especially during heavy demand periods)
• Tampering with Utility Department property.
• Cross-connecting the Utility Department's water supply with any other supply source.
• Refusal of reasonable access to property.
• Any refusal or neglect to comply with any rule or regulation of the Utilities Department.
• Non-payment of water bills or other charges specified in the regulations.
• Failure to comply with the regulations of the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health Drinking Water Division, or Federal or State Laws.
• Failure to promptly correct leaks as specified in Article 2 or the Rules and Regulations for the Water Department for the Town of Bethel.
