EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS DRILLS AND EXERCISES

Being ready to operate efficiently and effectively in an Emergency situation is a key objective of the emergency preparedness system. For that reason Drills and Exercises provide critical training experience for the resources that will respond when actual emergencies arise. We will use this portion of the website to provide information on upcoming drills and exercises and following the completion of these exercises, we will endeavor to provide key learning arising from these drills and exercises.

Regional Pandemic Flu Surge Capacity Triage Center Exercise April 2 - 6, 2008.
Thee MEMA (Managed Emergency Mass Allocation) Consortium conducted a regional Pandemic Flu Surge Capacity Triage Center Exercise April 2-6,2008

This exercise simulated a large-scale pandemic flu outbreak of a very serious nature. A large scale exercise such as this not only tests current levels of preparedness but also serves to indentify areas for future improvement.

Over the next weeks we will be analyzing the lessons learned from this exercise and as analysis and conclusions are developed they will be added to this site.
